When I began my college career at Georgia Southern
in 2001, I never imagined that Statesboro would become my home. Yet almost 20 years later, here I am. Statesboro
is a special place, and it has a way of taking you in and making you fall in love with it repeatedly. This community is a beautiful place to call home, whether for a few years while attending college or for the rest of your life.
I met my wife Lori
, while both of us were students at Georgia Southern. We now have three children Stella (8), Grant (6), and Henry (4), and love nothing more than to travel and spend time with family.
I have always been entrepreneurial and still had side ventures in school to make money. While at Southern, I had a business washing and detailing cars. When I was at Parker College
, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, but I knew that I wanted to own my own business eventually.
After graduating with my degree in Marketing/Sales and Sales Management in 2015, I started my real estate career at Coldwell Banker. You are paid on commission in real estate, so you only get paid when you sell a house. I went for six months without making my first sale, but I knew this is what I wanted to do, so I stuck with it, worked hard, and made connections. Now I am the owner of Statesboro Real Estate
, the number one independent real estate agency in Bulloch County. I’m the official real estate agent of Georgia Southern Athletics
My partner, Stephanie Anderson, and I, own PMG Rentals
, a real estate rental management company. We manage over 700 residential rental properties currently. In our portfolio of managed properties, half are student housing, and half are professional housing. This diversification placed us in a unique position to enter the real estate market as a broker.
The Parker College, Georgia Southern, and Statesboro have given so much to my family and me, and I feel I must pay that support forward. In 2014 my partner, Stephanie, and I pledged $30,000 to establish an endowed scholarship, the PMG Rentals Scholarship.
Giving financial support isn’t the only way I contribute to Parker College. I have spoken on campus to several student organizations and have been a guest speaker at every Professional Development Day Parker College has had. As someone who values entrepreneurship, I have mentored countless Georgia Southern students on how to turn their dream into a reality by starting and running their own business.
I have also hired many Georgia Southern students and graduates as employees and interns. My goal is to continue to grow both companies and hire as many Georgia Southern graduates as possible. It is such a great time to be in real estate, and I look forward to helping create the opportunity for others that so many helped create for me.
